Government investigations are being conducted at increasing numbers by Florida’s state licensing board, as well as by myriad of Civil Rights (HIPAA), the Office of Inspector General (Medicare Fraud and Abuse), Fiscal Intermediaries, Medicaid and various state insurance fraud agencies. The Physician Advocacy Program® was begun nearly thirty years ago to provide readily accessible, cost effective defense for physicians before these agencies, and has been providing representation to physicians ever since.

When a health care related investigation begins, every Florida physician needs to have experienced legal counsel readily available and at his or her side. To address that need, experienced healthcare legal counsel is made available to Florida physicians, for a small annual fee, through the Physician Advocacy Program®.
